The Royal Order of Kamehameha I, Moku O Kohala, is now accepting applications from students residing in Kohala proper, Waimea and Waikoloa for their annual college scholarships.
In the last five years Moku O Kohala has awarded 12 scholarships of $1,000 each.
Applications may be requested by e-mail at kakaukii@hawaiiantel.net or by mail at Moku O Kohala, P.O. Box 2118, Kamuela, Hawaii, 96743. Requirements to apply are proof of acceptance by a university, college or trade school; a last semester grade point average of 2.5 or better; and a short essay describing the need for the scholarship and the student’s future education plans.
Applications must be received by July 15 and awards will be made immediately after that date.
